| 1 | 你們作子女的，要在主內聽從你們的父母，因為這是理所當然的。 | 1 | Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is just. |
| 2 | 『孝敬你的父親和母親──這是附有恩許的第一條誡命── | 2 | Honour thy father and thy mother, which is the first commandment with a promise: |
| 3 | 為使你得到幸福，並在地上延年益壽。』 | 3 | That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest be long lived upon earth. |
| 4 | 你們作父母的，不要惹你們的子女發怒；但要用主的規範和訓誡，教養他們。 | 4 | And you, fathers, provoke not your children to anger; but bring them up in the discipline and correction of the Lord. |
| 5 | 你們作奴僕的，要戰戰兢兢，以誠實的心，聽從你們肉身的主人，如同聽從基督一樣。 | 5 | Servants, be obedient to them that are your lords according to the flesh, with fear and trembling, in the simplicity of your heart, as to Christ: |
| 6 | 不要只在人眼前服事，好像單討人的喜歡，而要像基督的僕人，從心裡遵行天主的旨意： | 6 | Not serving to the eye, as it were pleasing men, but, as the servants of Christ doing the will of God from the heart, |
| 7 | 甘心服事，好像服事主，而非服事人， | 7 | With a good will serving, as to the Lord, and not to men. |
| 8 | 因為你們知道：每一個人，或為奴的，或自主的，不論行了什麼善事，都要按他所行的領取主的賞報。 | 8 | Knowing that whatsoever good thing any man shall do, the same shall he receive from the Lord, whether he be bond, or free. |
| 9 | 至於你們作主人的，要同樣對待奴僕，戒用恐嚇，因為你們知道，他們和你們在天上同有一個主，而且他是不看情面的。 | 9 | And you, masters, do the same things to them, forbearing threatenings, knowing that the Lord both of them and you is in heaven; and there is no respect of persons with him. |
| 10 | 此外，你們務要在主內，藉他的能力作堅強的人。 | 10 | Finally, brethren, be strengthened in the Lord, and in the might of his power. |
| 11 | 要穿上天主的全副武裝，為能抵抗魔鬼的陰謀， | 11 | Put you on the armour of God, that you may be able to stand against the deceits of the devil. |
| 12 | 因為我們戰鬥不是對抗血和肉，而是對抗率領者，對抗掌權者，對抗這黑暗世界的霸主，對抗天界裡邪惡的鬼神。 | 12 | For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood; but against principalities and power, against the rulers of the world of this darkness, against the spirits of wickedness in the high places. |
| 13 | 為此，你們應拿起天主的全副武裝，為使你們在邪惡的日子能夠抵得住，並在獲得全勝之後，仍屹立不動。 | 13 | Therefore take unto you the armour of God, that you may be able to resist in the evil day, and to stand in all things perfect. |
| 14 | 所以要站穩！用真理作帶，束起你們的腰，穿上正義作甲， | 14 | Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of justice, |
| 15 | 以和平的福音作準備走路的鞋，穿在腳上； | 15 | And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace: |
| 16 | 此外，還要拿起信德作盾牌，使你們能以此撲滅惡者的一切火箭； | 16 | In all things taking the shield of faith, wherewith you may be able to extinguish all the fiery darts of the most wicked one. |
| 17 | 並載上救恩當盔，拿著聖神作利劍，即天主的話， | 17 | And take unto you the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit (which is the word of God). |
| 18 | 時時靠著聖神，以各種祈求和哀禱祈禱；且要醒寤不倦，為眾聖徒祈求， | 18 | By all prayer and supplication praying at all times in the spirit; and in the same watching with all instance and supplication for all the saints: |
| 19 | 也為我祈求，使我在開口的時候，賜我能說相稱的話，能放心大膽地傳揚福音的奧秘── | 19 | And for me, that speech may be given me, that I may open my mouth with confidence, to make known the mystery of the gospel. |
| 20 | 為這福音我竟作了帶鎖鏈的使者──使我能放心大膽，照我應該宣講的去宣講。 | 20 | For which I am an ambassador in a chain, so that therein I may be bold to speak according as I ought. |
| 21 | 今有我可愛的弟兄，且忠於主的服務者提希苛給你們報告一切，好使你們知道我的事和我現在作什麼。 | 21 | But that you also may know the things that concern me, and what I am doing, Tychicus, my dearest brother and faithful minister in the Lord, will make known to you all things: |
| 22 | 我特意打發他到你們那裡去，為叫你們知道我們的情形，並叫他安慰你們的心。 | 22 | Whom I have sent to you for this same purpose, that you may know the things concerning us, and that he may comfort your hearts. |
| 23 | 願平安、愛德和信德由天主父和主耶穌基督賜與眾弟兄！ | 23 | Peace be to the brethren and charity with faith, from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ. |
| 24 | 願恩寵與那些以永恆不變的愛愛我們的主耶穌基督的人同在！ | 24 | Grace be with all them that love our Lord Jesus Christ in incorruption. Amen. |
