| 1 | 有賢妻的丈夫，是有福的！他的壽數必要增加一倍。 | 1 | Happy is the husband of a good wife: for the number of his years is double. |
| 2 | 有才能的婦人，是丈夫的喜樂，使他在平安中終其天年。 | 2 | A virtuous woman rejoiceth her husband: and shall fulfil the years of his life in peace. |
| 3 | 有賢婦為妻，是一種福份；但是，只有敬畏上主的人，因自己的善行，纔能得到她。 | 3 | A good wife is a good portion, she shall be given in the portion of them that fear God, to a man for his good deeds. |
| 4 | 她不論是富是貧，心神總是快樂，時常面帶笑容。 | 4 | Rich or poor, if his heart is good, his countenance shall be cheerful at all times. |
| 5 | 有三件事，我心中恐懼，對第四件事，我更害怕，那就是： | 5 | Of three things my heart hath been afraid, and at the fourth my face hath trembled: |
| 6 | 市民的控告，暴徒的集會， | 6 | The accusation of a city, and the gathering together of the people: |
| 7 | 誣妄的誹謗：這一切比死亡更為不幸； | 7 | And a false calumny, all are more grievous than death. |
| 8 | 但是，娭妒別的婦女的女人，令人心痛悲傷； | 8 | A jealous woman is the grief and mourning of the heart. |
| 9 | 她向眾人傳話的舌頭，是一條鞭子。 | 9 | With a jealous woman is a scourge of the tongue which communicateth with all. |
| 10 | 惡婦有如擺動的牛軛，誰要管治她，無異是用手去捉蠍子。 | 10 | As a yoke of oxen that is moved to and fro, so also is a wicked woman: he that hath hold of her, is as he that taketh hold of a scorpion. |
| 11 | 好醉酒的婦女，是大怒的原因；她的恥辱和醜態，不能隱藏。 | 11 | A drunken woman is a great wrath: and her reproach and shame shall not be hid. |
| 12 | 眼波流動，是婦女淫蕩的表示；從她的眉毛，可以認出。 | 12 | The fornication of a woman shall be known by the haughtiness of her eyes, and by her eyelids. |
| 13 | 對無恥的女兒，你應嚴加管束，怕她有機可乘，就放縱起來。 | 13 | On a daughter that turneth not away herself, set a strict watch: lest finding an opportunity she abuse herself. |
| 14 | 你要留心，不要順從無恥的眼睛；否則，她若冒犯你，你就不用驚奇。 | 14 | Take heed of the impudence of her eyes, and wonder not if she slight thee. |
| 15 | 就如渴了的旅客，一到了水旁，不管遇到的是什麼水，就張口去喝；同樣，淫婦坐在任何木樁前，向射來的箭，張開箭袋，直到她疲乏為止。 | 15 | She will open her mouth as a thirsty traveller to the fountain, and will drink of every water near her, and will sit down by every hedge, and open her quiver against every arrow, until she fail. |
| 16 | 勤謹婦女的溫柔，使自己的丈夫歡樂；她的明智，使丈夫的骨骼豐滿。 | 16 | The grace of a diligent woman shall delight her husband, and shall fat his bones. |
| 17 | 沉默寡言而明智的婦女，是上主的恩賜。 | 17 | Her discipline is the gift of God. |
| 18 | 受過好教養的人，是無價之寶。 | 18 | Such is a wise and silent woman, and there is nothing so much worth as a well instructed soul. |
| 19 | 聖潔而知恥的婦女，乃無上的恩賜。 | 19 | A holy and shamefaced woman is grace upon grace. |
| 20 | 貞潔的靈魂，實尊貴無比。 | 20 | And no price is worthy of a continent soul. |
| 21 | 在秩序井然的家庭裡，賢婦的美麗，有如在上主的至高之天，上升的太陽； | 21 | As the sun when it riseth to the world in the high places of God, so is the beauty of a good wife for the ornament of her house. |
| 22 | 她那健康身材上所襯托的美貌，有如神聖燈台上發光的燈； | 22 | As the lamp shining upon the holy candlestick, so is the beauty of the face in a ripe age. |
| 23 | 她那雙在結實腳跟上的美腿，有如銀座上的金柱。 | 23 | As golden pillars upon bases of silver, so are the firm feet upon the soles of a steady woman. |
| 24 | 聖婦心裡的天主誡命，有如堅固磐石上的永久基礎。 | 24 | As everlasting foundations upon a solid rock, so the commandments of God In the heart of a holy woman. |
| 25 | 有兩件事，我心中憂傷，而對第三件事，我更憤怒，那就是： | 25 | At two things my heart is grieved, and the third bringeth anger upon me: |
| 26 | 戰士為窮苦所困，明智人被人輕視， | 26 | A man of was fainting through poverty: and a man of sense despised: |
| 27 | 離棄正義而偏向罪惡的人，上主為他準備了刀劍。 | 27 | And he that passeth over from justice to sin, God hath prepared such an one for the sword. |
| 28 | 有兩件事，依我看來，又難又危險，那就是：商人很難不犯罪，店員難免不失言。 | 28 | Two sorts of callings have appeared to me hard and dangerous: a merchant is hardly free from negligence: and a huckster shall not be justified from the sins of the lips. |
